Pelvic Organ Prolapse Recovery

Pelvic organ prolapse can affect physical comfort, self-confidence, and trust in the bodies ability to support you. At the Hayling & Southsea Women’s Health Clinics, recovery is approached through a bio-psycho-social lens, supporting tissue health, nervous system regulation, lifestyle modifications and whole-woman awareness. Whilst, breath-led, integrative exercises help rebuild tensile resilience and functional support.
Build a personalised pelvic rehab plan tailored for you.

Diastasis Recti Rehab

Diastasis recti rehab goes beyond surface-level “core work.” and unhelpful avoidance lists. Using advanced clinical massage to the abdominal wall and all surrounding tissues that feed into the optimal functionality of the abdomen and pelvis, alongside integrative movement; we focus on restoring tension, coordination, and intra-abdominal pressure regulation. Burrell Education–informed rehab supports post-natal recovery in a way that is progressive, personalised, and realistic for real life.
Often combined with progressive exercises and lifestyle support for lasting change.

C-Section Rehab

C-section recovery at my Southsea & Hayling Women’s Health Clinics addresses more than the scar alone. The Scar is just the visible tip of the iceberg and real change happens when we look beyond just the visible. Treatment includes clinical massage to scar tissue, abdominal and pelvic fascia, alongside breath-centred movement to restore mobility, sensation, and load tolerance. This approach supports posture, nervous system regulation, and functional strength—helping you reconnect with your body after surgery. Even if you had your C-Section many years ago, you can still benefit from myofascial release to the area for improved functionality.
Ideal for both recent and long-term C-section recovery.

Hysterectomy Recovery

Hysterectomy recovery is supported through evidence-led pelvic health care that respects the complexity of surgical, hormonal, and emotional change. Using Level 6 advanced clinical massage and in-depth Burrell Education training, treatment focuses on pelvic and abdominal tissue health, postural adaptation, and rebuilding strength gradually. Integrative movement and lifestyle guidance support resilience without rushing the process. Offering hysterectomy prehab, through to post operative rehab, and best practice lifestyle guidance.
Care is always paced, individual, and responsive to your body. Also suitable for years after the operation. It’s never too Late to turn things around…

Pelvic Pain

Pelvic pain is approached as a whole-system experience, not an isolated issue. Treatment combines advanced clinical massage, pain-informed pelvic health training and lifestyle coaching to help you get to the bottom of your pelvic pain presentation. Integrative breath-based movement to reduce sensitivity, improve tissue glide, and increase movement tolerance. Sessions are trauma-aware, personalised, and suitable for persistent or complex pelvic pain presentations. Client centred consultation is at the core of developing a treatment plan which best serves you.
Support available for both acute and long-standing pelvic pain. There’s always something which can be done!

  • I have been seeing Emma for clinical deep tissue massage now for a few months, owing to increased severe back pain, which was affecting my mobility and love for life. Not only has Emma helped me get back feeling mobile and supple, she has also given me a new lease of life, educating me on the anatomy of my body, finding the root cause to my problems and the pain I have been suffering with.
I look forward to the sessions, as I always learn something new and I am given tailoring exercises to try at home, which have been a massive help.
I am seeing such a fast improvement in my back.
Emma is honest, puts my mind at ease and makes me feel very comfortable.
Thank you, Emma.

  • A good friend of mine recommended Emma to me. Right from the start I was very impressed with Emma. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was very engaging as was her determination to understand what difficulties I was having. Emma used a range of techniques to ease my pain and I particularly liked her use of hot stones. At the end of each session Emma showed me how to be my own therapist and treat myself at home. I found that particularly helpful. There was no pressure to continue with appointments forever, rather an emphasis on helping me to self-manage the areas that give me trouble.

    I would wholeheartedly recommend Emma.

  • I went to see Emma as had a reoccurring shoulder pain. Over a few weeks Emma went through loads of tests and movements to find out what it was and gave me a structured set of exercises. Since doing all these along with the clinical massage she did, the pain in my shoulder has dulled right down and it feels like it’s on its way to being fully better. Thanks....

  • I had a really sore locked neck and shoulder and Emma's great skill is her intuitive nature both within her yoga teaching and here in her therapy rooms I felt as she worked around my shoulder issues she did not only work on the shoulder but recognised a problem within the lower back and dealt with that with great expertise. I always feel in the Yoga sessions that Emma is an incredibly knowledgeable instructor and I feel incredibly 'safe and held' in her sessions. I would greatly recommend her therapy and her yoga.

  • Have awarded a five-star review here as very much deserved.

I went to Emma at Ocean Flow as generally felt very stiff, some niggles around the hips etc. Two days before my appointment I actually did pull my lower back so timing was perfect!

Emma firstly dealt with the immediate pain in my hip and through a number of sessions moved through to other areas around lower back, hip, groin. She used very subtle movements, heat stones etc in a wonderfully calming setting.

Every week she gave me various exercises/stretches to do backed up with visuals of the areas of the body and explained the areas I should be targeting. We built on these exercises/stretches week on week which has provided me with a much better understanding of the body and how it works. She thought of exercises/stretches that fitted in with my every day life so made them much more achievable.

She is professional, knowledgeable and comes with a great energy. She is a great teacher so you can maintain your own body at home and just go every so often for maintenance.

Thanks Emma for sorting me out and teaching me lots of new things!

Pelvic Health Treatments & Therapy Plans and Pricing

At Ocean Flow Therapies, I don’t believe in gimmicky, one-size-fits-all programmes or pre-packaged pelvic health plans. Every woman’s body, history, and experience of pain or dysfunction is unique—and that individuality deserves to be respected and worked with, not forced into a standard protocol.

Treatment is therefore fully personalised, shaped by your assessment findings, lived experience, goals, and how your body responds over time. This allows care to remain responsive, evidence-led, and grounded in what actually supports your recovery, rather than what looks neat on a price list.

That said, I understand that it’s helpful to have a rough guide to pricing and timeframes when considering treatment. While every plan is tailored, the outline below offers a general framework to work from.

£65-75 per treatment (location and duration dependant) with the aim to achieve a reduction of your pain and an improvement of your core functionality in 4-8 treatments. These treatments could be spread out over a month, to several, depending on what approach we decide to take.

First treatment: 75 minutes, including a full orthopaedic assessment and case history consultation, manual therapy and mobilisations, and relaxation massage.

Follow-up treatments: 60 minutes, including a pre-agreed upon combination of massage treatment for pelvic pain, pelvic rehab exercises, self-care advice, home care supporting resources such as videos, recipes and down-regulation techniques, with the continued development of a personal self-care plan, and between appointment email advice.
